Abstract
Comic represents a medium to hand over idea, or social critics that want to convey by comic author. The contents of comic depend on the way of thinking and point of view that possess by a comic author. Comic, particularly sport comic has become entertain medium for some people today to spare their time, and even has become a hobby, so that not surprised there are many people to be comic collectors. Human's hobbies to funny thing or humor oriented can't be doubted, having humor is kind of human as a mind creature. The purposes of this research are to analyze the violation of maxim that happened in Bowling King Comic, proved the violation of maxim result in humor. Maksim kerjasama usually called in English as Cooperative Principles represents a formula sparked off by Famous Linguist as well as a philosopher namely Herbert Paul Grice as basic of general principal of language usage. From the research object that number 13 books, 125 chapters found all of kind cooperative principals that violated, there are 6 cases violation of maxim quantity, 14 cases violation of maxim quality, 9 cases violation of maxim relevance, and 8 cases violation of maxim manner. From all violation that most happened is maxim quality and the least is maxim quantity.
