Abstract

This research examines the characterization and moral value conveyed through the main characters in Frozen II movie script (2019) written by Walt Disney and directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. In analyzing the phenomena, this research focused on characterization and moral value in the movie script. In revealing the phenomena, this research applies a qualitative method for explaining intrinsic and extrinsic elements. This especially moral value serves as the theoretical framework. In the Intrinsic and extrinsic elements, the researcher mentioned some points, including Characterization, setting, plot, theme, and moral value. All mentioned elements were discussed and proved by the example that was in the form of Frozen II script. The movie script became the main source of data analysis. Here, a lot of examples were taken to accompany the researcher’s explanation. The first findings, there are several ways of Characterization conveyed by the author. The second finding is that based on the researcher's analysis of Frozen II Movie Script by focusing on moral values shown by Anna and Elsa as the main character it can be inferred that there are several kinds of moral value that were related theory from Buzan as follows: Bravery, Honesty, Steadfastness, Sympathetic, Cooperativeness, Thankfulness, Kindhearted, and Love and Affection. Lastly, the most dominant moral value presented was bravery.
