Abstract

intrinsic approach used to analyze the data is characterization, plot, setting Wile the concept of abusive behavior as an extrinsic approach is used to analyze the data. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. becase the results of the data analyzed were in the farm of descriptive phenomena such as words. sentences and language. The object of this research is the movie script Hilitty Elegy" by I.D Vance. The data for this research were calleeted from conversations in the movie script Hillbilly Elegy"by J.D Vance. The results of this study are as follows, describing th characters of the three characters in the movie seript Hibilly Elegy", deseribing the abusive behavior carried out by one of the characters as well as a reflection af the abusive behavior contained in the mmuvie script "HiHIilly Elegy".
