This study aims to analyze speech acts in movie scripts using a pragmatic approach. I analyzed the types of illocutionary speech acts presented by all characters in the movie "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery" (2022) by Rian Jhonson through the movie script. This movie is in the mystery, detective, and comedy genres. In this research, I analyzed five types of illocutionary speech acts based on Searle's theory: assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. This research used a descriptive qualitative method to analyzed illocutionary speech acts and analyze them individually because this research is retrieved through movie scripts. The results of this research is that there 53 data on illocutionary speech acts. The first illocutionary speech act assertive amounted to 14 data, the second illocutionary speech act directive amounted to 10 data, the third illocutionary speech act commissive amounted to 9 data, the fourth illocutionary speech act expressive 10 data, and the fifth speech act directive 10 data.
