Abstract
This project is researching a possibility of using article in TIME magazine as teaching material. Here, the example is from HISTORY section in TIME magazine and reasearcher sees this from the application of Adjective clause, Adverbial Clause and Noun Clause in that article. The researcher assumes that the article can be used as teaching material because those clauses have been taught in SMU Grade 2. In chapter one, researcher discusses the sequence of research, such as; background, identification of problem, assumption, formulation of the problem, and the objectives. In chapter two, the researcher discusses theories, concepts, and ideas related to this research, conceptual framework, and methodology of this research in details. In chapter three the researcher analyzes the Clauses application in TIME magazine related to clauses section in KTSP for students grade 2/XJ and clauses conformity in TIME magazine to workbooks and KTSP. iv In chapter four, the researcher concludes her research. This chapter is related to my assumption in chapter One and supporting theories, concepts, and ideas in chapter Two. The conclusion proves what the researcher has assumed. That's why the researcher's assumption is true that TIME magazine article can be used as teaching material.
