Abstract
This study aims to analyze the types of figurative language and their meaning in NIKI’s album entitled Nicole by applying supporting theories and semantics as the analytical tool. This research uses a qualitative approach as its methodology and the analysis of this research focuses on qualitative descriptive method. The object of this research is Nicole, NIKI’s second studio album. The purpose of this research is to identify the types of figurative language including the meaning of each figurative language that are found in Nicole album. The data of this research are collected from the lyrics found in the Nicole album. The figurative language that I analyzed are simile, metaphor, personification, hyperbole, irony, paradox, idiom, and imagery. After being analyzed, the meaning of the song is more understandable.
