Abstract

This term-paper is about English-Indonesia annotated translation. Annotated translation is a translation with the notes from the translator. In conducting this research, I use qualitative method. This research focuses on specific cultural term and idiomatic term. The aim of this research is to help the reader to comprehend the whole text of the source language. The result of this research is to create a good and correct translation Geek Girl novel. Geek Girl is a novel about Harriet Manner, a 15 years old British girl who accidentally changes her life after spotted by supermodel agency. It is written by a British writer, Holly Smale, inspired by her true-life story. In this research, Geek Girl novel is the primary source and supported by some relevant theories, concepts, and definitions as the secondary source.
