Abstract

Skripsi ini membahas sebuah karya sastra berbentuk novel. Dalam hal ini, penulis membahas novel karya Iwase Jyoko yang berjudul Chiisana chiisana umi. Novel ini menceritakan seorang anak bemama Yoshirou yang mempunyai phobia terhadap berenang. Dalam menganalisis novel ini penulis menggunakan 2 jenis teori pendekatan intrinsik yaitu penokohan, latar dan alur. Sedangkan pendekatan ekstrinsik menggunakan konsep Kecemasan dan Teori Motivasi.
