Abstract
This research aims to develop soft skills competencies of students of English Literature Darma Persada University through the analysis of Maxine Hong Kingston novel entitled Woman Warrior as one of American Ethnic Literature works by the Contextual Teaching Learning model. The goal is that, based on the soft skills competencies they are expected to be able to fulfill the expectations of the stakeholders in order to enrich their hard skills competence in the field of diverse works. Beside based on literary research about soft skills, the study was also based on the survey results of understanding the competence soft skills and interviews about teaching soft skills through literature. The results shows that the students' understanding of this competence remains in full of soft skills diversity.
