Abstract
This term paper explains the analysis of the theme from a biography that uses extrinsic approach. Through extrinsic approach, the theories I use are theory of the American Dream that became thought and culture of the American people as well as the theory of motivation in organizational psychology approach. This term paper is a category of basic research which uses a biography titled Wheelman by Reed Albergotti and Vanessa O'Connell as the basic source and is supported by several sources related to the theory and definition in analyzing the theme. This analysis describes a bicycle athlete who was obsessed with a victory, he did whatever it takes to achieve the American Dream which is the culture in the life of American people. The characteristics and life journey of the main character become the key in relating the variables of this theme analysis.
