Abstract
This term paper discusses about poetries by using intrinsic and extrinsic approaches. Through the intrinsic approach I applied the concepts of rhythm, rhyme, figurative language, imagery, general meaning, and for the extrinsic approach I used: moral philosophy and religion of Henri Bergson. The analysis is a qualitative research, this type of research literature with the data collection method in the form of literary texts from poems My Heart Leaps up When I Behold; The Road Not Taken; Death, Be Not Proud by William Wordsworth, Robert Frost, John Donne as the primer sources and supported by some theories, concepts and definitions relevant as a secondary source.
