Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the types and meaning of idiomatic expression that contained in Billie Eilish selected songs. Idioms are used as metaphors or to symbolize something else. It helps in making the language beautiful, they also make things better or worse through making the expression good or bad. However, learning idioms is very important in learning English as an international language used in all the world. This study focused on categorizing the types of idioms used in Billie Eilish’s songs and analyzing the meaning of the idioms found based on the lyrics of the song. In this study, the writer used a qualitative and quantitative approach using descriptive methods.
