Abstract
This term paper discusses about a literary work, a novel. The discussion is about the theme of a literary work by applying two approaches; intrinsic and extrinsic approaches. Through the intrinsic approach, the concepts are: characterization using showing method and telling method, setting and plot. For the extrinsic approaches, the concept I use are psychopathy and traumatic childhood. This term-paper discusses the character of Milly who has psychopathic personality as the main character in this novel, which caused by her traumatic childhood. This term paper is variety of qualitative research, types of library research, interpretative analysis using method by collecting data in the form of literary texts from Ali Land’s novel Good Me Bad Me as the primary source and is supported by some of the books, journals and literatures that relate to the theories, concepts and the relevant definition as the secondary sources.
