Abstract
This study aims to analyze the structure of Sue Ann's personality by using an intrinsic and extrinsic approach. The intrinsic approach used is characterization, plot, and setting. While the extrinsic approach uses the concept of hatred based on David Krech. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach because the data obtained are descriptive phenomena such as hatred and the way Sue Ann vents her hatred through revenge. The object of this research is the MA movie by Tate Taylor. The results of this study contain the characterization of Sue Ann's character as the main character, the plot and setting of the film, as well as the hatred felt by Sue Ann which made her take revenge against people who had bullied her. From Ma's movie, we can get an idea that if we bully someone, we will never know whether the victim can forgive the perpetrator or not. In this movie, Sue Ann shows that she still holds a grudge against the perpetrator and decides to take revenge.
