Abstract

This term paper discusses about Speech Acts Analysis on Song “Black Spiderman” Logic’s. This study is qualitative method by using Levinson’s theory about kinds of speech acts such as locution, illocution, and perlocution to give a concrete meaning and Hymes’ theory to analyze speech acts as a second language. The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of a message about equality in this song through pragmatical approach, to explain the message of equality reflected in the song, and to identify the songwriter tells in his song to perform according to the theory of speech acts. This term paper focuses on the meaning or a message of equality through pragmatical approach which applies in the song instrinsically, and extrinsically. The result of this study found that there is a message of equality to everypeople, about how we should treat everybody equally and also about how we should be proud of who we are.
