Abstract
Code switching and code mixing have become the phenomena trend in society. The phenomena occur because of the ability of a person to communicate using more than one language. The phenomenon can lead to change in language usage, which causes code switching and code mixing. The use of code switching and code mixing in society has been common. It happens in one of the famous YouTuber in Indonesia. This research is conducted using a qualitative approach. The method used in this research is content analysis. The object of this research are YouTube videos of Boy William in Drinks With Boy videos. The data used in this research are English utterances found in Drinks With Boy videos. In this research, I analyze 46 data, and then I classify them into two parts which are code switching, 16 data, and code mixing, 30 data. There are several factors William uses code switching and code mixing, they are: a) talking about a particular topic; b) repetition; c) the speaker; d) the interlocutor; e) the intention of clarifying; f) expressing group identity. Therefore, It can be conclude that Boy William dominantly uses code mixing rather that code switching in his utterance.
