Abstract
This term paper discusses a literary film about someone's physiological changes because the unrequited love. The problem in this study becomes interesting becausehate of the unrequited love gives a profound effectin someone's life. Intrinsic and extrinsic approaches are used to analyze the problems in the film. Through the intrinsic approaches the author uses characterization, setting, and plot. Through extrinsic approaches the author uses psychoanalysis, the conceptof love and hate.The method that is usedin this term-paper is qualitative method, the kind of method is study of literature, the interpretive research/analysis with the method of data collectionin the fonn of script texts from Dark Shadows: The Curse of Collinwood by Tim Burton and is supported by some of the literature related to the theory/concepts/definitions thas suitable as a secondary sources.
