Abstract
This term paper discusses about a literary work. Shopaholic to the Rescue Novel by Shopie Kinsella is a reflection of sociology of conflict in the family. Three main characters in this novel, Becky Bloomwood, Luke, and Suze fight together to solve the problem or conflict in their family. This study aims to show how the strategy on character Becky and the other characters within handle the conflict in their family. The analytical method used in this study through a literal approach to the intrinsic elements are implemented through the concept of characterization, plot, and setting, and the extrinsic elements through the sociology approach using the theory of conflict by Georg Simmel. This research is a literature, a method that uses research materials derived from literary text from the novel Shopaholic to the Rescue by Shopie Kinsella as a primary source and supported by theory books related to research concepts.
