Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of racism in the movie script using the intrinsic and extrinsic approaches. I analyze the characteristic, setting, and plot as the intrinsic data. The concept of racism used to analyze the data in extrinsic approach. This research is conducted by using descriptive qualitative because the result of the data analyze is in descriptive phenomenon such as word, sentence and language. The object of this research is Ip Man 4: The Finale Movie Script. The data of this research are collected from the dialogue of Ip Man 4 : The Finale movie script. The result of this research is that there are racism in Ip Man 4: The Finale movie script. First, the type of racism mostly founded in Ip Man 4: The Finale movie script is Internalized Racism. Second, the level of racism mostly founded in Ip Man 4 : The Finale movie script is at individual level. In this movies script not only show us about the racism but also the different culture that can create a belief or thought about another nation.
