Abstract
This research aims to investigate the pragmatic aspects of deixis employed in the song lyrics. Deixis, a branch of pragmatics, focuses on the contextual meaning and reference within language uttered or written by individuals. Deixis relates to expression when analyzing a speech in light of the context, which is connected to pointing out who, when, and where the utterance is uttered. The research approach that I use is qualitative. I use a qualitative technique in this research to convey the ideas that I acquire from song lyrics, expert theories, and previous related studies in document form. The objective of this research is to learn about the deixis analysis that appears in song lyrics of "Post Human: Survival Horror" album. This study focuses on the lyrics of Bring Me The Horizon songs. The primary data for this study was obtained from I reading of the song lyrics from Post Human: Survival Horror Album (2020). In this study, I chose a descriptive method. The total number of deictic words found in the utterances of song lyrics of Bring Me The Horizon's album is 69 data. The most dominant type of deixis that found in the four song lyrics of Bring Me The Horizon's album is person deixis.
