Abstract

This term-paper discusses about the theme of a novel. Two approaches, intrinsic and extrinsic approaches, are applied to analyze this novel. The concepts that is applied to analyze through intrinsic approach consists of characterization by using showing method, plot and setting. The concept to analyze through extrinsic approach are obsession, curiosity, and anxiety. This research explains about the reflection of obsession, curiosity, and anxiety in main character Ellery Corcoran as well as its relation to other intrinsic elements. In this research, Two Can Keep A Secret novel is the primary sources and supported by some of relevant theories, concepts, and definitions which as secondary sources.
