Abstract
This term paper discusses about a literary work. The analyzed problem is the reflection of panic attack and narcissism concepts on character Penny. It is analyzed by using intrinsic and extrinsic approaches. Through the intrinsic approach, the concepts applied are: characterization – showing and telling methods, setting, plot and theme, and for the extrinsic approach, the concepts are: Panic Attack and Narcissism. This term paper is variety of qualitative research, types of library research, interpretative/analysis using the method by collecting data in the form of literary texts from Zoe Elizabeth Sugg’s Girl Online novel as the primary source and is supported by some of the literatures that relate to the theories, concepts and the relevant definition as the secondary sources. Keywords: Panic Attack, Narcissism, Social Psychology Skripsi ini membahas tema karya sastra berupa novel, masalah yang akan di analisis adalah cerminan serangan panik dan konsep narsisme pada tokoh Penny dengan menggunakan pendekatan intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Melalui pendekatan intrinsik diterapkan konsep-konsep: perwatakan, metode langsung dan tidak langsung, latar, alur serta tema; dan untuk pendekatan ekstrinsik digunakan konsep-konsep: Serangan Panik dan Narsisme. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ragam kualitatif, jenis penelitian kepustakaan, sifatnya interpretative/analisis dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa teks karya sastra dari novel yang berjudul Girl Online karya Zoe Elizabeth Sugg sebagai sumber primer dan didukung oleh beberapa literature yang terkait dengan teori, konsep dan definisi yang relevan sebagai sumber sekunder. Kata kunci: Serangan Panik, Narsisme, Psikologi sosial
