Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character of Rocks in the film script using intrinsic and extrinsic approaches. Intrinsic approach is used to analyze data such as: Characterization, Plot, Setting. The extrinsic approach is used to apply the concept of the struggle of the main character Rocks in this film script. A qualitative approach uses data collection methods from Theresia Ikoko's Rocks film script and is supported by several previous studies, books, theories and several journals as secondary sources. The result of this study is the concept of struggle that is felt by the main character. The script of this film tells the story of the main character, Rocks, who has struggled in his life to survive with his younger brother with a meager amount of money that makes Rocks dare to face anything in order to protect his younger brother. In the film's script, the aftermath of these events involves struggle. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakter Rocks dalam naskah film dengan menggunakan pendekatan instrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Pendekatan intrinsik digunakan untuk menganalisis data seperti: Penokohan, Plot, Setting. Pendekatan ektrinsik digunakan untuk menerapkan konsep perjuangan tokoh utama Rocks dalam naskah film ini. Pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dari naskah film Rocks karya Theresia Ikoko dan didukung oleh beberapa penelitian terdahulu, buku, teori dan beberapa jurnal sebagai sumber sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah konsep perjuangan yang dirasakan oleh tokoh utama. Naskah film ini bercerita tentang tokoh utama, Rocks yang telah berjuang dalam hidupnya untuk bertahan hidup bersama adik laki-lakinya dengan uang yang tidak seberapa yang membuat Rocks berani menghadapi segala hal demi menjaga adiknya. Dalam naskah film ini, akibat dari kejadiankejadian tersebut melibatkan perjuangan.
