Abstract

Hierarchy Needs is a psychological approach theory that comes from Abraham Maslow, a psychologist who divided human needs into five stages: physiological needs, safety needs, love and belongingness needs, self-esteem needs, and self- actualization needs. The issue raised in this term-paper is about fulfillment of five stages of human needs. This research explains about hierarchy needs in one character in Tully movie script, Marlo. Two approaches, intrinsic and extrinsic approaches are applied to analyze Tully movie script. Intrinsic approaches that applied into this research consist of characterization through telling and showing method, plot, and setting. Extrinsic approaches that applied into this research is hierarchy of needs theory
