Abstract
This study aims to analyze how the environment affects a person's psychology. Dr Don Shirley is a classical black pianist, Don is distressed by all the racist things that happen to him and hits him hard and there are internal conflicts in Don's mind, as well as subconscious impulses that impact Don's behavior. and Sigmund Freud's theory is the psychic tension among the forces representative of the id, ego, and superego. When the main character experienced internal conflict or anxiety. mental processes that enables the mind to reach compromise solutions to conflicts that it is unable to resolve. The process is usually unconscious, and the compromise generally involves concealing from oneself internal drives or feelings that threaten to lower self-esteem or provoke anxiety. Denail and reaction formation which I also apply in this analysis. The analytical method used in this study is an intrinsic and extrinsic approach consisting of characterizations, plot, and setting. This type of literature research, this research uses materials derived from literary texts from the Green Book film as the main source and is supported by theoretical books related to the research concept. I can conclude that the theme of the Script Movie after being described the intrinsic approach and the extrinsic approach is to equalize race and resistance to racism. racism seems to be the main theme here because from the beginning to the end the story in this film is very much based on the racism of white people towards the main character. Most of the conflicts are caused by racist actions, especially the white treatment (racism) of the main character
