Abstract

This study focuses on the psychological trauma of women. The main objective of this study is to examine the psychological trauma events of women who are exploited and involved in Sex Trafficking. The research method is based on post-positivism or interpretive philosophy, which examines the condition of natural objects, in which the researcher is the key instrument. The data collection technique is done by triangulation, the data obtained tends to be qualitative, the data analysis is inductive, and the results of qualitative research understand meaning, understand the uniqueness, construct phenomena, and find hypotheses. The result of this research is how to find the psychological trauma of women in the movie script to make the movie script a useful medium through the messages conveyed not only as a medium of entertainment. After analyzing the movie script, I conclude that an intrinsic approach can be used to analyze the Last Night In Soho movie script. I apply the telling and showing methods to understand the characterizations of several characters in the movie script. The theory used is Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis. Psychoanalytic theory is used to determine the main character's personality by looking at the story, and by describing the intrinsic and extrinsic elements contained in the novel. The main characters that I analyze are Sandie, a victim of Forced Prostitution/Sex Trafficking, and Ellie, an indigo woman who is related to Sandie's past and will be more clearly depicted in the movie script how their characters.
