Abstract

This analysis is discussing a movie script of The Devil All The Time by Antonio Campos. The movie script tells about the story of Arvin Eugene Russell, a boy who has been taught religion by his father since childhood. However, what his father taught tended to deviate from the existing religious knowledge. This term of paper focuses on a theme of literary work of this movie script by using intrinsic and extrinsic approach. Through intrinsic approach, the applicable concepts are: characterization, plot, and setting. Through an extrinsic approach, there is a literary psychology, namely behaviourism by Skinner. This study using the qualitative research, library research, interpretive analysis, using data collection methods in the form of literary texts from The Devil All The Time movie script as the main source and supported by several literary works to connect several relevant theories, concepts, and definitions as a second source.
