Abstract

This term paper examines Family Violence and Trauma in The Invisible Man film 2020. A condition in which a person feels uneasy and experiences physical effects that serve as a warning of danger. In this study, a movie's theme that includes both intrinsic and extrinsic methods is analyzed using psychological theory. Several ideas are covered by the intrinsic approach, including setting, story, and characters using the showing and telling technique. Family Violence and Trauma are the concepts used in the extrinsic approach. The main characters in the movie, Cecilia, played by Elisabeth Moss, and Adrian, played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen, are the subject of this study. This study is descriptive qualitative in approach. This term paper also supported by a collection of sources that are related to the theory and definition that bring the theme of analysis to a close. Dialogue, and The Invisible Man 2020's script served as the study's main sources of information. The data will be studied using a range of approaches, such as collecting data that family violence traumatizes the main character and drawing conclusions from my research. This study shows that the movie shows the family violence that traumatizes the main character. According to this study, the main character in the film experiences trauma due to family violence. It involves using violence and other violent methods to instill control and terror in a relationship.
