Abstract

In this research focuses on liberal feminism. Liberal feminism differs from other feminism in that it focuses on women''s ability to maintain their equality through their actions and believes that men and women are equal. Liberal feminism is concerned with women''s freedom to choose their dreams based on their abilities. I use Qualitative research. Qualitative research method is a research method based on post positivism or interpretive philosophy, used to examine the condition of natural objects, where the researcher is the key instrument. The data collection technique is done by triangulation, the data obtained tends to be qualitative data, the data analysis is inductive and the results of qualitative research are understanding meaning, understanding uniqueness, constructing phenomena, and finding hypotheses. The results of this study how the liberal feminism in a movie script for writers to make the movie a useful medium through the messages conveyed not only as an entertainment medium. This research is expected to find out the side of libeal feminism described in a movie script and provide useful results for readers to understand the meaning libeal of feminism in a movie script. After analyzing the movie script, I conclude that an intrinsic approach can be used to analyze the script for Little Woman. I apply the show method to understand the characterization of several people in the movie script. The character I analyzed was Jo March as the main character, Jo revealed the characterization.
