Abstract

This term paper discusses about the analysis of illocutionary in Jon Lucas movie Bad Moms by using pragmatics theories. The aims of this research are to identify the types of illocutionary acts which are implied in utterance of Bad Moms movie and to identify the underlying context of illocutionary acts used in utterance of Bad Moms movie. This study is a qualitative range of the research. The writer collects the data from the movie, then describes the contexts and the classification of Illocutionary Acts. The data are analyzed one by one to know the context and the types of Illocutionary Acts used. From the analysis, the writer finds five types of illocutionary acts by John Searle theory as the main characters use in Bad Moms movie. They are Assertives, Directives, Expressive, Commisive and Declarations. Keywords : Context, illocutionary acts, classification of illocutionary acts. Skripsi ini membahas tentang analisis ilokusi dalam film Bad Moms oleh Jon Lucas dengan menggunakan teori pragmatik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis tindakan ilokusi yang tersirat dalam ujaran film Bad Moms dan untuk mengidentifikasi konteks yang mendasari tindakan ilokusi yang digunakan dalam ujaran film Bad Moms. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Penulis mengumpulkan data dari film, kemudian menjelaskan konteks dan klasifikasi tindak ilokusi. Data dianalisis satu persatu untuk mengetahui konteks dan jenis-jenis ilokusi yang digunakan. Dari analisis tersebut, penulis menemukan lima jenis tindak ilokusi oleh teori John Searle sebagai penggunaan karakter dalam film Bad Moms. Mereka adalah Asertif, Arahan, Ekspresif, Komisif, dan Deklarasi. Kata kunci : Konteks, tindakan ilokusi, klasifikasi tindakan ilokusi.
